Advanced Wing Systems offers a unique solution in wind assisted ship propulsion. AWS has demonstrated ease of installation, maintenance and operation. AWS was awarded the IWSA Innovation Award for Small Vessels 2021, and is currently a participant in the Marin and ABS WiSP2 Joint Industry Project.

National Technical University of Athens
Founded in 1837, the National technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the oldest Technical University in Greece. The School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (SNAME), established in 1969 is one of the nine Schools of NTUA. The aim of the School is to provide high quality education and carry out research in all fields related to Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, as well as other related fields that can be grouped under the broader title of Maritime Technology. The School comprises four Departments, namely: Naval and Marine Hydrodynamics, Ship Design and Maritime Transport, Marine Engineering and Marine Structures. In addition, the School operates 6 Laboratories. Members of the Ship and Marine Hydrodynamics lab, operating the only towing tank in the country, the Marine Engineering lab, the Shipbuilding Technology lab and the Ship Design lab are participating in the RetroFit for 55 consortium.

Irish Ferries is the market leading ferry operator in Ireland, serving routes between Britain (Holyhead to Dublin, and Pembroke to Rosslare) and Ireland, Ireland and France (Dublin to Cherbourg), and Britain and France (Dover to Calais).
On the Irish Sea, Irish Ferries operates up to 16 sailings a day, with a fleet of modern cruise and fast ferries, including the famous ULYSSES, DUBLIN SWIFT, the only fast craft on the Irish Sea, whilst the newly built award-winning W.B. YEATS serves the Ireland to France route.
Irish Ferries launched its Dover to Calais service in June 2021, with the transfer of the ISLE OF INISHMORE to the route, where she operates up to 10 sailings a day. In December 2021 Irish Ferries added the RoPax ISLE OF INNISFREE to this route halving to 2 hours 30 minutes the time between departures. A third RoPax the ISLE OF INISHEER has been acquired for entry into service during the first half of 2022.
Irish Ferries is very pleased to join and be a key member of the Horizon “Retrofit for 55” consortia working to reduce the impact of maritime operations on the environment. We are committed to dynamic design using novel and class-leading technologies. This was recognised when Shippax presented our W.B. YEATS passenger freight ferry with its prestigious “ Ferry Concept Award” shortly after it entered service in 2019.
